Arrests were made and stolen items recovered after the Sheriff’s department was contacted by a victim that had his vehicle and trailer stolen out of this county. The victim advised that he had found his stolen truck and that it was in Conway County. Investigator John Nichols and Investigator Terry Payne contacted Conway County investigators and advised them of the information. Perry County Investigators were contacted that evening by Chief Deputy Billy Sutton of Conway County Sheriff’s office and advised that they had found the stolen vehicle along with numerous other stolen items at a residence located at 52 Snake Hill road. Nichols and Payne went to the residence that evening and observed several items that had been stolen out of Perry County. The following morning a search warrant was issued and served on the residence. Nichols and Payne found and recovered items from several Burglaries and thefts from Perry County to include tools and a stolen hand gun. Donald Camp II was arrested and taken into custody by Conway County authorities.
Sheriff Montgomery stated "its good both our agency and Conway County Sheriff's Office has a good working relationship. Sheriff Mike Smith and I have a great working relationship and have helped each other on numerous occasions." |
