On October 19, 2013 @ 8:30 PM Sheriff Scott Montgomery responded to a gas drive off at Toad Suck One Stop. Based off of the license plate number that the complainant gave at the gas station, Sheriff Montgomery made a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Chad Defoor (34) of Jacksonville approximately four miles west of the store on State HWY 60 East. Mr. Defoor was also driving on a suspended license. Mr. Defoor stated that they didn't realize that one of the female passenger's Jeannie Skinner (21) of Mabelvale had pumped more than he what he paid for. Mr. Defoor stated that they realized that they pumped more than he had paid for about a mile from the store and turned around to go back and pay for it, but then realized that they didn't have enough money to pay for it, so they turned back around. There were four passengers in the car, all four were cited and released for Theft of Motor Fuel. Mr. Defoor was also cited for driving with no Driver's License. The other two passengers were Courtney Shadell (22) of Mayflower and Robert Shadell (21) of Bigelow, he also had warrants out of Perry County for Failure to Pay fines. Mr. Shadell was taken in custody and transported to the Perry County Detention Center. |
