New Release

Sheriff Montgomery reports that Deputy Josh Cole and Harris Brake Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on State Hwy 9 just south of the Forestry Building.

Upon arrival they met with Eric Morris, 41 of Benton, AR, Mr. Morris stated that he and his passenger Clayton Risner, 26 of Alexander, AR, had gotten out of his 2010 Jeep Wrangler to look for some duck calls that he had lost.  Morris stated that they had gotten just down the road when he noticed his Jeep was on fire.  They ran back to the Jeep and grabbed his fire extinguisher out of it and tried to extinguish the fire but it was already too far gone.  The Jeep was a total loss.
