On August 31, 2014 Deputy Josh Cole received a BOLO from dispatch that Saline County was looking for a red Ford pick-up displaying license plate number 605MTL carrying an individual that was involved in a Domestic Battery.
While Deputy Cole was working a traffic accident on Thornburg Mtn. that vehicle came through the line of traffic. Deputy Cole stopped the vehicle and verified through dispatch that’s who the BOLO was for. Deputy Cole detained the driver Randall Jones, 58 years old of Perryville for Saline County. As an incident of arrest for Saline County a search of Mr. Jones’ person was done, Deputy Cole found a plastic bag containing Marijuana in Mr. Jones pocket. Also found in Mr. Jones’ right front pocket was twelve Hydrocodone’s. The pills were not in a prescription bottle. Mr. Jones also had more Marijuana in the pick-up’s driver’s side sun visor.
Mr. Jones was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance; a class A Misdemeanor for the Marijuana and a class D Felony for the Hydrocodone’s not in a prescription bottle |
