On August 13, 2016 at approximately 3:48 PM Deputy Denise Huber noticed a vehicle pulled off the roadway on State Highway 9 at the foot of Perry Mtn. Deputy Huber made contact with the driver Joshua Miller (27 years old of Pattison, MS), who stated that he was enroute to Hot Springs to visit family and friends. Deputy Huber smelled an odor of intoxicants on his breath, Deputy Huber asked him if he had been drinking, Mr. Miller stated that he had drank last night. Deputy Huber asked Mr. Miller if he had anything in the vehicle that was illegal and he stated that he had some marijuana along with a glass pipe in his vehicle and an open container of whiskey.
Miller passed a standardized field sobriety test, he was cited for possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana), a class A Misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe used for smoking Marijuana), also a class A Misdemeanor. |
