On December 13, 2016 at approximately 4:30 PM Inv. Keenan Carter had received a call from Chief Deputy john Nichols asking him if he still needed to speak to Matthew Dunlap in reference to a theft case and if so Mr. Dunlap was at T.J.’s in Perryville. Inv. Carter went to T.J.’s and advised Mr. Dunlap that he needed to speak to him at the Sheriff’s Office. Before transporting him Inv. Carter patted him down for officers safety, also the is a search wavier on file for Mr. Dunlap, meaning that he can be searched at any time because he is on active probation. During the search Inv. Carter found a clear plastic bagging containing a crystal substance believed to Methamphetamines. Mr. Dunlap was arrested and transported to the Perry County Detention Center for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class C felony.
