Investigation of Stolen Property Leads to Drug Arrest

On Dec. 21, 2016 Inv. Keenan Carter responded to Robin Lane on Harris Brake Lake in reference to some stolen property.  Upon arrival on the property Deputy Will Doughty and Inv. Carter observed a car pulling into the driveway.  Deputies made contact with both subjects in the car.  The passenger was acting very nervous and they were asked to step out of he vehicle.  When the driver started to step out the deputies noticed there was a gun sitting between him and the door.  For the deputies safety they patted the subjects down for more weapons.  In the passenger's (Kane Hawks, 18 years old, of Perryville) boot there was a glass pipe with residue(Methamphetamines).  Hawks was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
