Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

On Dec. 30, 2016 SRO Barrett Smith was working routine patrol on Stated HWY 113 South.  Deputy Smith noticed a Chevy Tahoe with no license plate, traffic stop was made.  The driver Nicholas Janowski, 21 yrs old of Bigelow had a warrant out of Perry County.  Has an incident to arrest the vehicle was inventoried and towed.  During the inventory Deputy Smith found a bag of green vegetable substance (Marijuana) under the drivers seat, a grinder with Marijuana residue was found in the vehicle's middle console along with a smoking device with Marijuana residue.

Janowski was charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all class A misdemeanor's.  He is out of jail on bond awaiting trail.
