On March 12, 2017 at approximately 9:10 AM Deputy Danny Story, Deputy Bill Sneed, Game and Fish Officer Robbie Stout, and Perryville Officer Robert McGhee responded to 3214 Hwy 60 West, Perryville, AR to a Domestic disturbance. Upon arrival they met with the primary resident Karen Morgan (57 years old), she stated that her son James Taylor Morgan (24 years old) had shot out her windows in her Dodge pick-up. Also Morgan stated that her son had thrown a mug at her but he missed and the mug hit his wife’s Nissan Versa passenger car. Mrs. Morgan also stated that her son had assaulted her in her bathroom that morning. Taylor Morgan was hiding in a shed out back of the house, he wasn’t wearing any socks or shoes which indicated to law enforcement that he was hiding from them. While Officer’s were searching for him, they found a small black film container containing a small clear plastic bag with a crystal substance in it that appeared to be Methamphetamines. Once located Taylor stated that his mom (Karen Morgan) had actually shot at him and the bullet hit the wall.
Ms. Morgan stated that Kaylee Morgan (18 years old) had pointed a .22 rifle at her, she also stated that Kaylee slashed her tires on her pick-up.
Kaylee Morgan stated that Karen Morgan threw a mug and busted her glass on her Nissan Versa.
All three were arrested and is being held in the Perry County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Karen Morgan- was charged with Domestic Battery 3rd, Criminal Mischief, Aggravated Assault, and Furnishing Prohibited Articles.
James Taylor Morgan- was charged with Domestic Battery 3rd, Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons.
Kaylee Morgan- was charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd and Aggravated Assault.
