On May 19, 2017 at approximately 7:00 PM Deputy Nick Kincade while on routine patrol stopped a Black Chevrolet Trailblazer on Hwy 10 West in Casa. The driver, Gary Bryant, 48 yrs old of Ola was not wearing his seat belt. Upon approaching Mr. Bryant, Deputy Kincade asked Mr. Bryant for his driver’s license, proof of insurance, and registration. Mr. Bryant stated that he had no driver’s license.
Mr. Bryant consented to a search of the vehicle, during questioning Mr. Bryant admitted to having a marijuana pipe on his person and he gave it to Deputy Kincade. While conducting a pat down of Mr. Bryant’s person Deputy Kincade found a cap to a syringe, Mr. Bryant said that he found it the syringe and a small clear baggy of white crystal substance (methamphetamine) was found by Trooper Jake Farnham.
Mr. Bryant was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, class D Felony, two counts of drug paraphernalia, class D Felonies, driving without a driver’s license and not wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Bryant is being held in the Perry County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
