Deputy Byrd arrest a Texas man for DWI

While on routine patrol on Underwood Road Deputy Cathy Byrd observed a white Dodge Ram swerving back and forth. Deputy Byrd activated her emergency lights and siren to stop the truck and it kept going. The truck finally stopped at 42 South Hillis Road. The driver Joe Longoria (54 years old of Texas) stepped out of his truck and was unsteady on his feet. Deputy Byrd asked him how much he had to drink and he stated 2 or 3 beers. Deputy Byrd attempted to perform sobriety test on Mr. Longoria, but he refused. Mr. Longoria was arrested for DWI, as incident to arrest Deputy Byrd inventoried his truck and found a bag of Marijuana. Addition to being charged with DWI Mr. Longoria was charged with Possession of a controlled substance, Fleeing, DWI Refusal.
