routine patrol leads to drug arrest

While on routine patrol in the Casa area on October 19, 2018 Deputy Nathan Williams observed a Chevrolet flatbed truck that had a license plate that returned to a Ford Explorer. Deputy Williams pulled the Explorer over and after further investigation found the driver had no driver’s license. After further investigation it was found that the driver was wanted out of Morrilton Police Dept.. There was two females with the male driver who didn’t have driver’s licenses either. One of the females that was in the vehicle stated that there was a baby bag in the vehicle and whatever is in it isn’t mine. During a search of the bag there was a make-up bag found, in it was a white powdery substance (Meth) was found along with a glass pipe containing residue, scales and a red straw. Also found in the make-up bag was the subjects I.D. card.

The female subject was arrested and transported to the Perry County Jail and is awaiting a bond hearing. The male subject was released with citation’s and asked to contact Morrilton Police Dept. in reference to his warrant per Morrilton Police Dept.
