The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating several break-ins and thefts throughout the county.
“Some of these are solved or we have recovered some of the stolen property, we don’t want to put out too many details because some of these are still under investigation. I’d like to give thanks to the citizens, deputies, and investigators in recovering the property that’s been recovered so far. I would like to ask everyone to keep their guard up. The only way we are going to be successful in stopping the break-ins and theft’s is by everyone working together policing our areas, stated Sheriff Montgomery.”
Sheriff reports that there is a significant increase in these crimes since the first of year. The highest percentage of these crimes is happening on a Friday with time ranging from 12 a.m. through 6 a.m. He is requesting that if you see anything that does not look normal for your area to immediately call 501-889-2333 and report it, and to also pass that information along to neighbors and friends. He encourages you to pay attention to the types of vehicles, get license plate number if at all possible and any description of people, acquiring as much information as possible.
So far there has been five vehicles, numerous tools, and equipment recovered. Along with some arrest made, not all of the thefts are related. |
