Boyfriend arrested for pistol whipping his girlfriend

On Thursday May 21st at approximately 9:00 AM Deputies along with Game and Fish responded to #80 Terry Lynn Lane in Perryville to a disturbance.

Upon arrival they found 37-year-old Jennifer Brand, she had been beaten by her boyfriend Travis Mahaney (37 years old). Mahaney beat Brand with the pistol grip of his gun, she had extensive injuries to her head, neck, back, arms, and her hands. Mahaney had fled the scene on foot, authorities searched the area for him but could not find him.

On Friday May 22nd Deputies caught and arrested Mahaney. Mahaney was charged with Aggravated Assault a class D felony, he is being held in the Perry County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
