Deputies assist Perry Police Chief

On September 3, 2020, Chief Deputy Bill Finley and Sgt. Keenan Carter assisted Perry Chief Bill Sneed with a reckless/fleeing motorcycle reaching speeds up to 139 MPH on State Hwy 10 West. The driver, 38-years-old Michael Jones of Patterson, AR was stopped after a short pursuit at the State Hwy 9 North and State Hwy 10 West Junction. Jones was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving, class C Misdemeanor; Fleeing, class A Misdemeanor; No Motorcycle Endorsement, unclassified Misdemeanor; Speeding, unclassified Misdemeanor; No Insurance, unclassified Misdemeanor; Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamines), class C Felony.
