Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of A Wanted Subject

On Jan. 16, 2021 at while on routine patrol Deputies observed a vehicle on State Hwy 9 traveling south bound. The vehicle was missing a front turn signal on the driver's side. Also, as the vehicle passed, a subject in the back seat was known to have active warrants out of Perry County Sheriff's Office. After making a traffic stop on the vehicle Travis McGrew was placed under arrest for warrants. Further investigation found that the driver of the vehicle was on probation and had a search waiver on file. A search was conducted on the vehicle and two glass pipes were found in the back seat of the car; the pipes contained Methamphetamines residue. McGrew admitted to the pipes being his, he was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug possession.
