On Jan. 31, 2021 deputies was dispatched to the first trailer on the left on Nelson Lane in Perry to suspicious person call. Upon arrival they met with a 39-year-old Nicky Williams Jr. of Casa. While trying to run him thru ACIC he took off in the vehicle that he was sitting in almost running over the deputy.
The deputy pursued the vehicle down county line road where it turned onto Thien Road then onto Smith Crossing Road to Highway 10. Williams went eastbound into Perry city limits where he ran a stop sign and crossed State Hwy 9 onto Bone Hollow Road then he turned left onto State Hwy 113 north into Conway County. Deputy pursued him into Morrilton on Hwy 9 north where he turned on I-40 westbound, at this time State Police took over the pursuit. State Police was able to perform a pit maneuver on the Williams' vehicle and get him stopped. Williams was taken into custody without further incident. After the incident was over there was a female in the vehicle that stated that Williams had taken her against her will.
Williams is being charged with Agg. Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Reckless Driving, Fleeing by Vehicle, and Kidnapping.
