On April 10, 2022, at approximately 7:46 pm Deputies responded to 95 Mountain Village Estates to a possible breaking and entering. Upon arrival they met with 27-year-old Kevin Hilpert, who stated that the complainant had left. While on scene the Deputies noticed a broken glass pipe that had residue inside it. Another smoking device was located as well. Later investigation found that the complainant actually never left. Deputies were lied to because she had warrants and she didn't want to be arrested. As an incident of arrest a search was done of his person and methamphetamines was found in his pocket. Hilpert was transported to the Perry County Sheriff's Office and charged with Obstructing Government Operations and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
