On April 26, 2022, deputies responded to 768 Old Houston Road for a call of people trespassing on the property. Upon arrival they met with Brant Herring who stated that he had permission to be there until April 30th. Herring had a search waiver on file and a search of the property was conducted.
During the home visit a clear bag of marijuana was found on Herring's person, two used syringes were found with blood and residue in them, a broken glass smoking device, a bent spoon that was used to load a needle for intravenous drug use. Several more drug paraphernalia was found throughout the property.
Brant Herring, Christopher Rogers, and Courtney Hughes were all arrested and transported to the Perry County Detention Center. All were charged with several counts of drug paraphernalia and are awaiting bond hearings.
