On May 2, 2022, around 12:00PM deputies arrested James Story, Kenneth Lee, and Deborah Stark at 314 HWY 113 South in Bigelow for manufacturing methamphetamines. As deputies were entering the residence, an active meth lab was in the stages of gassing off in a closet of the residence. Deputies immediately exited the residence and contacted members of the 15th Judicial Task Force and Johnson County Narcotics Division who are trained and certified in disposing of meth labs. Both teams responded to the residence and properly removed the meth lab so it would not be a chemical danger to the neighborhood.
