On June 8, 2022, the Perry County Sheriff's Office along with members of the 15th Drug Task Force seized over 149 Grams of Methamphetamines, $8,875.00 cash, and a homemade bomb.
Deputies responded to the #12 Robert Road in Perryville on a tip of drug activity. Shannon Finton, 31 years old of Casa is on supervised probation. Finton advised authorities that she had been living at #12 Robert Road for a "minute", she had her belongings at the residence. As part of her conditions of probation she must submit to search and seizure of her person and place of residence by law enforcement. During the search multiple used syringes were found along with syringes that had clear brownish liquid in them. The clear brownish liquid was field tested and did test positive for methamphetamines. Under her bed was a suitcase containing $8,875.00 in cash along with five baggies of crystal-like substance that also field tested positive for methamphetamines. In a camper behind the residence a canister that appeared to be homemade bomb was found in the oven. Perry County Investigators contacted Conway bomb squad who came out with an x-ray machine that showed that there was a detonator in that canister confirming that it was a homemade bomb. Tannerite and gun powder was also found in the camper with the bomb. The man who stays in the camper gave law enforcement the name of "Richard Robinson" after further investigation the name Robinson gave was of a deceased person. Checking his prints through Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), Richard Robinson was actually Roy Alexander who was wanted out of numerous agencies.
Roy Alexander was arrested and charged with criminal use of prohibited weapon, class B felony; possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines, class A felony; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, class Y felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, class D felony.
Shannon Finton was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines, class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, class D felony.
