On November 23, 2012 @ approx. 9:50 PM Deputy Bill Finley responded to #37 Colorado Drive off of Trail 86 in reference to a subject out of control tearing the house up.  Upon arrival Deputy Finley met with Diane Reynolds and Ashley Gaulden who both stated that Clifton Wofford, age 36 was upset and tearing up their house.  Mrs. Reynolds stated that Mr. Wofford had grabbed Ms. Gaulden by her throat and threw her into shelves in her bedroom.  Both ladies also stated that Wofford was yelling at them and throwing things around the residence.   At that time Clifton Wofford came running out of the residence charging at Deputy Finley screaming at Deputy Finley to leave his property or that he would fight him and throw Deputy Finley to the ground, then Wofford ran back into the house.  Shortly after that Terry Payne, Officer Dustin Caudell, and Trooper Kevin Growns arrived to assist Deputy Finley, they arrested Mr. Wofford without further incident.    Deputy Finley charged Mr. Wofford with Aggravated Assault on a family member, a class D felony.  Judge Elizabeth Wise Mr. Wofford’s bond at $20,000.00 cash or professional.  A no contact order will be issued by Judge Wise upon Mr. Wofford bonding out of jail.
