New Release

On November 27, 2012 at approximately 7:35 AM two (2) 9 year old girls along with some other students reported to a school official that while they were waiting to catch the school bus at the intersection of Pine Street and West Valley Street a man tried to coach the two girls into his pick-up.  Some older students that were waiting to catch the school bus just down the street noticed the pick-up and started yelling to the man in the pick-up to leave and eventually he did.

School Resource Officer Mike Surrett questioned the two girls, they described the man to be in his 40’s, bald headed with a narrow chin goatee.  Vehicle was described as a two tone brown GMC regular cab full size pick-up, possibly with a bed cover and has a picture of a deer on the back window.

SRO Surrett questioned the older students that were waiting to catch the bus just down the street and they confirmed the description of the pick-up to be the same as what the two girls decribed.

SRO Surrett will be at that bus stop every morning and afternoon for the next few days. This information will be given to surrounding agencies as well.

A parent has put this information on face book asking the public for their help to keep a look out for this vehicle as well.
