Sheriff Scott Montgomery reports that on July 1, 2013 at approximately 8:00 PM Deputy Dalton Tyner stopped a black Chevrolet pick-up for swerving over the yellow line and back to the fog line on several occasions, on highway 9 northbound.
After making contact with the driver James "Jimmy" Vail, formerly of Houston, Deputy Tyner ran his driver's license through ACIC and found that Vail had felony warrants out of Conway County. As incident to arrest Deputy Tyner inventoried Vail's pick-up and found a pipe in Vail's leather vest pocket that was lying in his pick-up seat. The pipe contained residue in it that is believed to be methamphetamines.
Vail was transported to the Perry County Detention Center and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, awaiting Judge Gill to set a bond for his charges. |
