On June 27, 2013 at approximately 12:00 PM Investigator John Nichols and Sheriff Scott Montgomery made an traffic stop on a green and silver Chevrolet pick-up for no license plate, on State Highway 314, near Hollis. Upon stopping this vehicle I found Terry Lynn Blythe to be the driver and only occupant in the vehicle, also that he was wanted out of Garland County for Probation Violation. During a search of his pick-up due to incident to arrest, I found several small spools of copper type wiring underneath his seat. On his dash was several cutting devices, that would be used for cutting copper wire. Also in the floorboard was a hatchet and a hammer.
On June 20, 2013 First Electric had reported that someone had stolen copper ground cable off of their light poles in the Hwy 314 area.
After mirandizing Blythe he denied any involvement in the theft. Blythe was cited for Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License, No Proof of Insurance, No Vehicle License, and No Seat Belt Use and then was released to Garland County Sheriff’s Deputies on their warrants.
