On Friday June 28, 2013 at approximately 10:40AM I responded to a theft of property call in Hollis on Hwy. 314 at the Steve Woods residence. Upon arrival I met with Mrs. Henrietta Woods, Lane Woods, and Robert Scott, they advised me that they witnessed Terry Lynn Blythe stealing scrap metal from their property. Also they told me that when I pulled up that Terry had stuck something in his pants. I asked Terry what it was and I stopped him and advised him of his rights and he continued to pull out the object, it was a marijuana pipe containing a green vegetable substance (marijuana). Also he gave me an Equate pain reliever container filled with a green vegetable substance (marijuana). Terry also told me that he stole the property from Steve’s property, but returned it. Lane Woods witnessed the property in Terry Lynn Blythe’s truck and him returning it.
Pictures of the property were taken. Terry Blythe was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana), a class A Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class A Misdemeanor; Theft of Property (scrap metal), class A Misdemeanor, Blythe was transported to the Perry County Detention Center, where he is awaiting Judge Gill to set a bond.
After bringing Blythe to Jail Inv. Nichols had more information concerning the copper theft in Hollis and re-mirandized Blythe and questioned him in regards to the thefts. Blythe confessed to stealing the copper ground wire on the light poles off Highway 314. Inv. Nichols charged him with Theft of Property and Judge Gill set his bond at $10,000.00 cash or professional.
